First Light Part IV

Well if this saga goes on much more, I will have to do some research on the Roman Numeral system to figure out the next post!

Yesterday no bracket for mounting my scope.  Tracking says today?!  Fingers are crossed.  I spent most of the night doing Fire Fighter rehab for a training scenario.  Interesting part is the fire fighters were interested in Astronomy and I was able to share a little about the Lyrid meteor shower happening tonight through Sunday and Jupiter.  Way cool answering their questions and such.  Not that I know much, but enough to satisfy their curiosity.

The picture above is a Re-Take of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) taken in 1995.  this one was taken in 2014.  The title of the picture is “The Pillars of Creation” (Eagle Nebula).  it is the remnant of a super nova (star exploding) some 7,000 light years from Earth.

I’m hoping for ClearSkies tonight, to at least observe some on the moon.

That’s all for now-

Roger
